Luis's Philosophy
1. What is social justice?
Well social justice is a title given to a specific group of people that take justice by their own hands, but do it as a unit itself, meaning people stay together. Social Justice is when you are united with other people that are seeking for the same justice they all deserve and wan't. Social justice isn't just a school or a simple action of doing something for someone, but the significance of showing what other schools can't around the world, the will to fight for the better, the truth of what goes on around the world, and to rise above when justice is not pursued.
2. What obstacles do we face while struggling to achieve social justice?
Obstacles that I and many of my peers within my school have faced the threat of fear, but like bad threats of other people, but the threat of not being able to help their teachers, classes, school , and even themselves. I myself wasn't able to be part of an event to help my teachers and classes back, because my grades and future education was endanger to affect. Others took the risk and went on the fight for what was fair and justice, but many have to fight the threats and obstacles to overcome the struggles and achieve what is the right to everyone and everything.
3. What is your vision for struggle?
The vision I have always had is when ever there is someone or something treated unfairly or even done without a fair judgement, I wan't to be able to never turn my back and walk away, but to stand up and fight for what it's right. No matter how big the struggles or obstacles, we as the people must never give up and fight our fears to give us hope, peace, and a chance to live for something.
4. What is your role in the struggle?
My role in the struggle is being since I've entered and applied for Social Justice itself, I in the future will love to become a police officer and go beyond the pursuit of justice, and actually take the responsibility for enforcing the laws the right way and make sure everyone is giving a proper trial and is innocent until proven guilty. My fire has always been in many sparks of my life, but will soon rise to a dashing flames of fury that one day will achieve the equality we as a whole world deserve.
5. How is your chosen issue connected to social justice?
My topic or issue that will be presented is child soldiers and how the affects of youth being the victims of war or something no child should ever experience in their lives. Child soldiers is connected to social justice , because this is the young we are talking about the next group of young people that will determine the faith of the future and responsibilities that will depend on them!
